Selection Process
Call for Nominations (Now – Jan 15)
ASMST members submit nominations online for any of the four awards.
Eligibility Screening
Submissions are reviewed for completeness and ASMST membership status.
Committee Review
The Awards Committee evaluates all nominations using established scoring criteria.
Notification (Early February)
Award recipients are notified and confirmed for recognition at the Summit.
Presentation (March 13, 2026)
Awards are presented prior to the Welcome Reception at the ASMST Annual Summit.
Selection Criteria
Each award is evaluated through a standardized rubric focused on:
- Impact – measurable influence through research, teaching, innovation, or service
- Sustained Contribution – long-term commitment to advancing the field
- Community Benefit – improvements in education, patient care, or collaboration
- Peer Recognition – esteem among colleagues demonstrated through endorsements, leadership roles, or publications
Governance & Policies
The ASMST Awards Committee oversees the program.
- Committee members recuse themselves if nominated.
- No individual may receive more than one ASMST award in a given year.
- Member endorsements inform but do not determine final decisions.
- Nomination records are retained for one year for transparency.
Recognize Achievement & Impact
Award recipients will receive an award and be featured on ASMST’s website, in the member newsletter, and across ASMST’s social media channels.
