Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the online submission system.
Submissions will be reviewed for scientific quality, relevance, and originality.
Presenters must maintain an active ASMST membership and are responsible for conference registration and travel costs.
Only complete submissions received by the deadline will be considered.

Submission &
Review Process
1. Call for Abstracts (Now – January 15, 2026)
ASMST members submit their abstract online.
2. Eligibility Screening
Abstracts are reviewed by the ASMST Board of Directors for completeness and assessed for scientific merit, structure, and relevance to shockwave medicine.
3. Notification (Early February 2026)
Authors of selected abstracts will be notified and confirmed for poster presentation at the Summit.
4. Presentation (March 13–15, 2026)
Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters during the Annual Summit and reviewed onsite by the ASMST Board of Directors. Outstanding Poster selections will also occur onsite.
Formatting &
Review Criteria
Abstracts should clearly present:
Objectives • Methods • Results • Conclusions
Reviewers will evaluate submissions based on:
Scientific Merit – clarity of hypothesis, methodology, and results
Relevance – contribution to clinical or research advancements in shockwave medicine
Innovation – originality of findings or approach
Presentation Quality – clarity, organization, and adherence to guidelines
Presentation Expectations
Accepted abstracts will be featured during the Summit, and presenters will discuss their work during designated session times. Presenters should be ready to summarize their research and its relevance to shockwave medicine.
Presenters are expected to:
Provide a clear, concise overview of their work.
Engage in discussion and answer questions.
Be present during assigned session times.
Outstanding Poster Awards
All posters will be reviewed by the ASMST Board during the Summit. Two awards will be presented:
Outstanding Poster – Trainee
Outstanding Poster – Established Researcher/Clinician
Award recipients will receive recognition at the meeting and complimentary registration for the following year’s Summit.
Recognition & Publication Opportunities
Accepted abstracts will be featured at the Summit and may be considered for inclusion in ASMST’s online Education Library or future ASMST publications.
